Karim Amin

Karim Amin is a member of Siemens Energy’s Executive Board (appointed March 2022). He leads the Gas Services business and oversees the China and Middle East & Africa regions. An electrical engineer from Cairo University with an MBA from Warwick, he joined Siemens in 2001 and rose through global leadership roles.

Across more than two decades at Siemens, Amin has held service, sales and product leadership roles—Senior VP for Service in MENA (2011), CEO of the global Oil & Gas unit (2014), then head of Power Generation (now Gas Services) from 2020.

 

On the Executive Board he steers the Gas Services business and regional strategy for China and MEA, focusing on reliability upgrades, long-term service, and lower-carbon pathways (efficiency and hydrogen-ready turbines).

 

In 2025, Siemens Energy signed an MoU with Iraq on “Energy Agenda Wave III,” targeting 14 GW of capacity and new long-term service agreements—an example of the scale of projects under his remit. He holds a BSc from Cairo University and an MBA from Warwick.
